Many of you were involved in the consultations that led to the establishment of the Education Cannot Wait Fund (ECW), a global fund for education in emergency settings. Now that ECW has been launched, a process is being undertaken to design the fund’s operational model and results framework. The design work will will be grounded in a comparative analysis of other global funds and funding approaches, input from key stakeholders and experts, two design workshops, and a broad consultative process that gathers input from global civil society, national civil society, beneficiary country governments, and the private sector. This is a critical stage for input from you and your partners at country-level.
The first design workshop took place on 9-10 November. Today, the fund is extending the opportunity to provide feedback and inputs to all EiE stakeholders, in particular field-level actors, trough an online global consultation. Questions are concentrated on the timeframe for disbursing funds, the types of support required by stakeholders, and measures of progress.
We encourage all country coordination team to read the overview document, consult with colleagues, and provide answers to the questions using the input form below:
These forms are available in English, Spanish, French, and Arabic.
Please provide answers to the questions in the input form by 9pm (New York time), Friday 2 December 2016. Your inputs will be highly valuable in designing the fund’s operational model and framework.
