Location: Geneva

The Education Cluster and the Child Protection Working Group are planning a joint training on Information Management (IM).  The overall objective of the training will be to improve the IM competencies of Education and Child Protection Coordinators and Information Managers, especially those working in the field—and will therefore target these individuals accordingly. The training will be held in Geneva from 14-17 July (which is the same time and venue as the Education Cluster Coordinator training).

The content of the training will focus on helping participants develop practical, technical IM skills (database management, implementing IM systems in-country, needs assessments, collecting/storing/analyzing data, working with 3W tools and information, etc.) as well as explore better ways for IMs and Coordinators to work together and with other partners around IM issues.

The training will only have approximately 15 participants, so attendance will be limited.  Should you be interested in the training, please complete the attached application form and send your CV to Jean Mège (Child Protection) jmege@unicef.org or Landon Newby (Education) lne@redbarnet.dk by COB 28 May.  Also, if you have not already done so, please complete this survey in order to help us ensure that the training content will be most relevant to you and your work.
